EEF Maths KS2/3

£25 per delegate

SIMON COX | EEF MATHS KS2/3

We know that the best lever we have for narrowing the disadvantage gap is high-quality classroom teaching, and that once children fall behind in mathematics it can be very difficult for them to catch up.

For this reason, our new programme focuses on key aspects of evidence which relate closely to everyday classroom practice.

Primary Literacy Programme (5 Days)

£95 per delegate

CHARLOTTE HINDLEY | PRIMARY LITERACY PROGRAMME

Research shows that children eligible for PP start school 13.5 months behind their high-income peers based upon vocabulary scores. Language is essential for pupils: it provides the foundations of thinking, learning and well-being and should therefore be prioritised.

In this Primary Literacy programme, we will develop an understanding of the evidence based for Literacy whilst exploring its relevance to your own school context and setting. Through the series of sessions, we will unpick the recommendations from the EEF's guidance reports and will explore

  • The importance of Speaking and Listening as the foundation for learning and the implications of this for the classroom
  • Embedding a balanced approach to the teaching of Reading
  • Exploring the teaching of Writing as a process

The sessions will facilitate the opportunity for discussion and sharing ideas within a community of like-minded practitioners and will provide you with the supporting tools and practical advice to bring to life evidence informed practice in Literacy. As part of the programme, you will identify priorities for your school and develop plans to implement evidence-informed processes, practices and programmes and explore how effective implementation processes will help you sustain improvement over time.

This training programme is suitable for English/Literacy Subject Leaders, Senior Leaders and Headteachers. It is advisable that attendees have the necessary time and space to attend all sessions and complete any gap tasks between sessions to engage in the programme fully.
